The Saville team did a fantastic job with everything we briefed them on. The lighting, sound, bespoke graphics and video content really helped engage the audience – it was definitely our best show yet!Tony Axon
Northern Ireland’s media elite turned out in force recently for the 14th annual PANI Awards, which are dedicated to celebrating excellence and creativity in the advertising industry. Saville AV worked with the team at PANI to create bespoke video production for the evening, together with full technical support for the glittering gala awards show.
Taking place at the luxury Culloden Hotel in Belfast, 100s of guests from agencies spanning Northern Ireland attended the black-tie ceremony which was hosted by Irish comedian and star of BBC’s The Blame Game, Neil Delamere. The theme for the event was ‘Advertising Icons’, inspired by big name brands such as Saatchi and Ogilvy, depicted throughout the event using gallery style contemporary artwork and dramatic lighting effects.
Fulfilling the client’s brief to create a show which truly wowed, Saville worked with the team months in advance to create engaging video content, which included HD graphics to showcase the finalists and the work they’d been nominated for. Live camera shots were also used to screen the winners as they took to the stage.
A 12m Absen LED screen took centre stage at the event to display the cool video content, with a Barco E2 used to map it over the anamorphic screen – providing a true cinematic experience. Robe pointes were also installed to help brand the venue with sponsors corporate colours, along with adding that all important glitz and glamour to the occasion.
Tony Axon, PANI President, commented: “The PANI awards is the biggest event in the Northern Irish media calendar, so we always want to ensure it’s a night to remember. This year’s theme was advertising icons and we wanted this to be represented throughout the event with the video content being really key. The Saville team did a fantastic job with everything we briefed them on; the lighting, sound, bespoke graphics and video content really helped engage the audience – it was definitely our best show yet!”
An awards ceremony for creatives naturally called for something a bit different, and the video content was introduced this year to offer an immersive experience for the audience. The room itself looked amazing, with the Absen LED screen really complemented the art inspired quirky graphics. We have received really positive feedback, with the client stating it was their best yet and even rivalled their previous London gigs!Sheridan Pennell
