We were looking for a design which captured the look and feel of Tesco, but for Malls by Tesco, one of our subsidiary brands aimed at the retail property sector. The team perfectly encapsulated the brief we sent them creating a welcoming and open stand with substantial seating to meet with delegates. Cannes, most famous for its world-renowned film festival, hosted the equally prestigious International Retail Property Market (MAPIC) show last November. Taking place between 15th and 17th November at Palais des Festivals, the event welcomed over 8,000 professionals from more than 80 countries. Saville wasn’t simply there to enjoy the sunshine, but was called in to work alongside its client, Tesco, to design and develop an impressive café style exhibition stand.

Bringing together professionals from across the globe for two days, it aims to showcase new concepts and developments, as well as delve deeper into new and emerging trends
After debuting at the show last year, Tesco was looking for an impactful stand design to help demonstrate ‘Malls by Tesco’ one of its subsidiary brands, which focuses on selling retail space within it malls. In line with the brief, Saville developed a series of concepts themed around a casual informal meeting space similar to that of a kitchen area or coffee shop. The chosen relaxed stand build provided an informal setting complete with different seating areas and a central bespoke-made breakfast bar and seating, in which the Tesco team could meet delegates for informal conversations and one-to-ones.
Focusing on selling retail space within it malls around the world, Malls by Tesco is one of the fastest growing areas of the leading retailer’s business.
After supporting Tesco with the same event in 2016, the team approached us once again to help with the design and build of a new stand, where they could meet delegates in a relaxed and informal setting.
