This cornerstone event in the British high performance sports calendar provides the opportunity for the Olympic and Paralympic sporting community to come together for two days of intensive workshops and celebrity keynote presentations.
The central presentation screen consisted of a 3 x 3 High Definition NEC videowall using nine 55” LCD screens. This sat within a screen surround made from our LED PixelMesh panels creating an exciting and spectacular visual effect. The entire 30m stage was finished with a starcloth background to give the effect of the screens floating in the air. The production team worked closely with the UK Sport video production team to create spectacular bespoke video and still image content that enhanced the Pixelmesh installation.
To further enhance the dynamic visual effects the D&B line array audio system was supported on truss columns that were wrapped with PixelMesh panels to display further custom content.
The keynote presentations from the main stage were once again captured using the Saville eStream presentation capture system. These interactive presentations, which are viewable via any standard web browser, even on mobile devices, include live presenter video alongside their presentation slides. The presentations are uploaded to the UK Sport website for use in training and future development.
With such a busy schedule over the two days, capturing the essence of the event is quite a challenge so the team supplied a full time roving videographer to capture on-the-fly interviews with presenters and delegates. The team also used this footage to create a short montage video of the event onsite to use as a closing video.
Social media continues to play an integral part of many conferences and the WCPC is no exception! A feature 80” large format display was located in the main foyer area to display all the Twitter conversations as they happened. This was supplemented by further smaller screens in key locations around the venue which also displayed the Twitter feed as well as digital signage information.
